LPR reports 1,077 COVID-19 cases - Health Ministry
LUGANSK, October 7 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Lugansk People’s Republic medics recorded 1,077 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 09:00, October 7, the LPR had 1,077 confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the report said. “A total of 819 persons have recovered and left hospitals with two negative test results for COVID-19 since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak.”
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 34.8 million; of those, more than one million people have died. Earlier, the LPR confirmed 1040 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.
