LPR records 338 COVID-19 cases – health authorities
LUGANSK, May 20 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Lugansk People’s Republic medics confirmed 338 coronavirus infection cases, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service told the Lugansk Media Centre.
“As of 6 p.m. May 19, 338 people had tested positive for coronavirus infection; 10 new cases have been revealed, 15 patients have been discharged as they tested negative for the virus twice and are fully recovered,” the press service said.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 4.7 million; of those, over 316,000 died. Coronavirus cases were reported in Ukraine and Russia.
