LPR rebuilds 90-plus percent of houses under 2000, 2000+ programs
LUGANSK, June 8 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The Lugansk People’s Republic has rebuilt 5,618 private houses out of 6,160 damaged during the Kiev's offensive against Donbass, the Ministry of Construction and Public Utilities said.
The state-wide program for reconstruction of damaged housing was launched on October 21, 2015 and comprised two lists of objects in need of repair: "2000" and "2000+". Under the program, building materials for repairs were provided to owners of affected houses.
"The program covered 6,160 damaged objects; as of today 5,618 of those have been completely restored."
The program was amended in May 2018 to allow local admirations to distribute unclaimed materials among other objects still to be repaired in other administrative units.
The redistribution shall allow to repair additional 69 residential houses.
