LPR provides obstetric aid to 166 women from Kiev-held areas

LUGANSK, October 5 (Lugansk Media Centre) - LPR perinatal centres provided obstetric aid to 166 women form Kiev-held territory of Lugansk region within the scope of the humanitarian programme for Donbass people reunification, the LPR Health Care Ministry press service reported. 

 “As of today, 166 residents of Kiev-held areas of Lugansk Region have received free obstetric aid,” the report said. The assistance included preventive care, diagnostics, treatment of diseases and monitoring and sophisticated therapy for newborns.

 Lugansk Republican Clinical Hospital (LRKB) deputy head for mother and child welfare service Oleg Valiyev said that as of 30 August 2017, two LPR maternity centres operating under the humanitarian programme (the LRKB perinatal centre and the city perinatal centre located in Yakira neighbourhood) had provided aid to 135 expectant mothers from Kiev-controlled part of Lugansk Region.

Earlier, LPR Health Care Ministry said more humanitarian programme hotlines had been launched.

On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the program of humanitarian assistance for residents of Kiev-occupied part of Donbass. The main goal of the programme is to provide financial and medical aid and educational services to socially vulnerable groups in Kiev-held areas. LPR Telecom and Mass Communications Ministry launched the humanitarian programme website.
