LPR provides obstetric aid to 101 women from Kiev-held areas
LPR perinatal centres provided obstetric aid to 101 women form Kiev-held territory of Lugansk Region within the scope of the humanitarian programme for Donbass people reunification, deputy chief doctor for maternal and child health at the Republican Clinical Hospital (LRKB) Oleg Valiyev said.
LPR has two maternity centres in operation within the framework of the humanitarian programme: the LRKB perinatal centre and the city perinatal centre located in Yakira neighbourhood.
“Since 17 February, obstetric aid has been provided to 101 women, 65 deliveries have been performed, including 12 where Caesarean section was required, ten children have been treated at IT ward, and 44 women received assistance at Pathologic Pregnancy Department,” Valiyev said.
He earlier said that as of 13 July, LPR perinatal centres had provided aid to 94 expectant mothers from Kiev-controlled territory.
On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the program of humanitarian assistance for residents of Kiev-occupied part of Donbass. The main goal of the programme is to provide financial and medical aid and educational services to socially vulnerable groups.
LPR Telecom and Mass Communications Ministry launched the humanitarian programme website.
