LPR People's Council committee votes to make Russian sole state language
LUGANSK, March 25 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR legislative and regulatory committee of the People's Council has passed the draft law proposed by LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik to make Russian language the only state language.
"The specialized committee has promptly reviewed my draft law. This decision confirms the way we chose back in 2014, to integrate with Russia," Pasechnik announced through his Twitter.
Current LPR Constitution, Article 10, defines both Russian and Ukrainian as state languages. The official language used in government institutions and local self-government bodies is Russian.
