LPR pays V-Day lump sums to 10 thousand veterans out of 25 thousand eligible
LUGANSK, April 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR has allocated lump sum payments to 10,000 World War II veterans living in the Republic, the Republic’s Labour and Social Policy Ministry said.
LPR Council of Ministers earlier passed a resolution on allocating one-time payments to 26 thousand WWII veterans by the Victory Day.
"Since April 10, about 10 thousand veterans in the LPR received payments. Among those are Lugansk residents Ivan Samokhvalov, Ivan Nechayev, Alexander Buyanov."
The veterans said they were thankful to the LPR government for additional payments and shared their memories of the war years. "We were enrolled in 1941 and in 1943 we already met the enemy face to face west of Kupyansk (176 km west-north of Lugansk). It was hard," said Buyanov
In 2017, almost 100 percent of LPR veterans received payments for the V-Day.
