LPR parliament sets November 11 as date for parliamentary, head of Republic elections
LUGANSK, September 7 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic lawmakers on Friday passed the resolution setting November 11, 2018 as the date for parliamentary and head of the Republic elections.
Thirty-five lawmakers present at the session voted for the resolution.
On Thursday, acting LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik signed the bills amending the Republic’s Provisional Basic Law (Constitution) and certain legislative acts into law.
Earlier, the parliament approved the legislation extending the four-year term of office of head of the Republic and lawmakers to five years and amending certain election laws.
