LPR parliament extends republic’s head, lawmakers term of office

LUGANSK, September 6 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Lugansk People’s Republic parliament on Thursday reviewed and approved the 1st and 2nd readings of the bill amending the LPR Provisional Basic Law (Constitution).
The law provides for changing the name of the Basic Law to “the Constitution of the Lugansk People’s Republic.”
It also extends the four-year term of office of the LPR head and lawmakers to five years.
The new legislation was supported by 36 lawmakers present at the session.
