LPR oncologists examine 1,300 patients from Lugansk region in 2017
LUGANSK, January 3 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Oncologists of the Republic examined over 1,300 patients from Kiev-controlled territory of Lugansk region under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme, said the LPR Health Ministry.
"Under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program, Lugansk Republican Oncological Clinic admitted 268 patients, 46 of them received chemotherapy. Over 1,300 peoplefrom Kiev-controlled territory of Lugansk region were examined: endoscopic examination was performed for 222 patients, 549 people undergone X-ray examination, 589 patients were examined with ultrasound."
The ministry said that in 2017 the Oncological Clinic received an x-ray tomography complex worth 51 mln rubles.
On February 17 LPR and DPR Heads Igor Plotnitskiy and Alexander Zakharchenko launched the program of humanitarian assistance for residents of Kiev-occupied part of Donbass. The main goal of the program is to provide financial, medical and educational aid to socially vulnerable groups.
LPR Telecom and Mass Communications Ministry launched the humanitarian program website.
