LPR mines 33 thousand tons of coal in a week
LPR mining enterprises produced 33 thousand tons of coal in a week, the Council of Ministers Chair Sergey Kozlov said at today's meeting attended by LPR Head Igor Plotnitskiy.
"The previous week the coal production amounted to 33,000 tons, 17 mines in operation," Kozlov reported.
The Ministry of Fuel and Energy issued five licenses in a week, he added.
On November 23 Cherkasskaya and Lutuginskaya mines were re-launched. On October, 6th the Nikanor-Novaya mine of the Tsentrugol State Unitary Enterprise in Zorinsk, Perevalskiy district, launched a new coal face after standing non-operational for more than two years. In September, production began at the Fashchevskaya mine.
On Saturday, Nov. 26, LPR miners produced 7,138 tons of coal in Saturday shift within the framework of Stakhanov Shift drive organized to provide coal industry veterans with free solid fuel.
The Stakhanovite movement originated in Lugansk region in 1935 and took its name from Aleksey Stakhanov, who had mined 102 tons of coal in less than 6 hours (14 times his quota) on 31 August, 1935.
