LPR militia downs Ukrainian reconnaissance drone in Novokiyevka area
LUGANSK, November 28 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic air defence forces shot down a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on a reconnaissance mission in the Novokiyevka village area, LPR People’s Militia press service officer Ivan Filiponenko said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.
“Kiev forces continue to actively use drones near the contact line in violation of the Minsk Agreements,” Filiponenko said. “Yesterday, Ukrainian army 46th Brigade’s Mavik Pro 2 drone was spotted and shot down thanks to skilful and well-organised actions of LPR air defence militiamen.”
Specialists are examining the data retrieved from the UAV, he added.
“I ask representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine to note the Ukrainian violation in their report and make Ukraine fulfil its commitments,” the LPR militia representative said.
Earlier, the LPR militia reported that it had downed a reconnoitring Ukrainian Phantom-type drone in the Nizhneye Lozovoye village area.
