LPR launches Supreme Court
LUGANSK, October 25 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Acting Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic Leonid Pasechnik issued a decree ordering the LPR Supreme Court to begin operation on October 25, 2018.
“Pursuant to Article 60 of the Constitution of the Lugansk People’s Republic and Article 2 of the LPR Law dated April 30, 2015 on establishing LPR courts, the Supreme Court is to begin to perform its functions starting October 25,” the document said.
On August 28, the LPR parliament adopted a resolution to appoint 14 Supreme Court judges nominated by Pasechnik.
Later on, Pasechnik appointed the LPR Supreme Court chairman and his deputies.
