LPR Heads participates in Republic’s first ever census
LUGANSK, October 1 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic Head Leonid Pasechnik participated in the LPR’s first ever census.
“I took part in the LPR census launched on Tuesday and urge everybody not to ignore it,” Pasechnik tweeted on his page.
According to the LPR Council of Ministers’ resolution, the door-to-doll poll will run from October 1 to October 14, 2019.
The LPR State Statistics Committee opened a hotline for residents for enquiries concerning census takers’ identity and opened census centres across the Republic.
The census centres addresses are available at the websites of the State Statistics Committee and LPR municipal administrations as well as in mass media. The census centres are open from 08:00 to 20:00.
The census targets LPR residents, foreign nationals and stateless persons staying in the LPR territory, as well as permanent residents staying outside the LPR as of the time of the poll.
It does not cover the foreign nationals enjoying immunity or privileges in accordance with LPR international agreements.
Earlier, State Statistics Committee chairwoman Irina Shabliyenko said that the census data would make groundwork for LPR budgeting, justifying the Republic’s socio-economic development strategy, demographic trend analysis and development and implementation of demographic, social, cultural and educational programmes.
