LPR Head tasks ministries to facilitate documents processing for LPR residents to receive Russian IDs
LUGANSK, April 26 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik has tasked the Republican Justice Ministry with facilitating timely notarization and issuance of documents to LPR residents necessary for obtaining Russian citizenship.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an order to simplify the procedure for obtaining a Russian passport for residents of the LPR and DPR. According to the order, the residents of the LPR and DPR can file applications for Russian citizenship with the territorial bodies of the Internal Affairs Ministry defined by the Ministry.
Pasechnik's decree tasks the Ministry of Justice to organize timely issuance or confirmation of documents by notary public offices and state registration bodies, as LPR residents might require civil status registry entries and their copies to be confirmed or translated and notarized.
The Ministry of Education was ordered to cooperate with the Justice Ministry to organize translations of documents that LPR residents should file to obtain Russian citizenship.
The State Bank is to set up offices to accept state duties for state services related to applications processing.
The Interior Ministry is to open offices to accept set of documents from LPR residents to be filed with Russian authorities.
According to the Russian legislation, the LPR and DPR residents can now apply for Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure, if they provide IDs showing their permanent residence in the Donbass Republics. Marriage or divorce certificates, birth certificates, documents confirming name change or foreign citizenship should be filed as well, if applicable.
The applications should be reviewed by Russian authorities within three months.
