LUGANSK, March 20 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR has unilaterally, as a gesture of good will, handed over to Ukraine 60 convicts imprisoned before 2014, said LPR representative in the Contact Group humanitarian subgroup Olga Kobtseva.
The handing over took place outside Schastye under the supervision of the LPR Mission to the JCCC.
"Today another agreement between the LPR and Ukraine is enacted today. The handing over of persons convicted before 2014 has taken place. It is a gesture of our good will, the convicts expressed willingness to serve their remaining terms in Ukraine," Kobtseva said.
LPR handed over 33 convicts on February 7. In December 2018 42 prisoners were transferred to Ukraine.
The agreement to pass over convicts imprisoned before the events of 2014 from Donbass to Ukraine was achieved at the Minsk talks on December 4, 2018.
