LPR handed body of Ukrainian soldier to Kiev representatives (PHOTOS)
LUGANSK, July 7 (Lugansk Media Center) – LPR People's Militia handed over the body of a Ukrainian soldier killed in the vicinity of Frunze to Ukraine.
The procedure took place in the area of Schastye bridge on the contact line, south-west of Lugansk.
"Today, LPR People's Militia showed good will and adherence to international norms. We handed over the body of a Ukrainian soldier to his relatives, who will bury him," said LPR People's Militia spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko.
"We have already done it and we always do it, unlike the Ukrainian side."
"Today the body of Yuriy Fedorin, Ukrainian armed forces soldier, was passed over to the representatives of Ukraine's defense ministry humanitarian project Evacuation 200," said the chairman of Lugansk Afghan War Veterans Union Sergey Shonin.
"Ukrainian side confirmed it was Yuriy Fedorin and signed еру certificate of transfer and acceptance."
The procedure has been coordinated with the Joint Center for Control and Coordination and the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
