LPR farmers sow over 30 percent of winter crops
LUGANSK, September 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic agricusinesses have completed more than 30 percent of the winter crop sowing plan, the Republic’s Agriculture and Food Ministry press service said.
“Autumn serial crops sowing is gaining momentum in the Republic; it is the optimum period recommended by the Lugansk National Agrarian University. As of today, more than 30 percent of winter crops have been sowed,” the press service said.
Ministry specialists have been coordinating the works every day keeping to prescribed agricultural practices. “LPR agribusinesses have a sufficient supply of the seed grains stock of Standard 2240-93, miniral ferilisers and fuel and lubricants,” the Ministry said.
The government subsidy worth 50 million rubles ordered by acting LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik facilitated winter crops sowing, it added.
Addressing the executive and legislative branches of power over the results of the public discussion of the LPR socio-economic development programme till 2023, called Our Choice, Pasechnik named the strategic goals of the agricultural sector development which include strengthening food security by stepping up domestic food production.
