LPR famers complete autumn sowing, increase winter crops area by 7 percent
LUGANSK, November 17 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic farmers have completed the autumn sowing increasing the area under winter cereals by 7 percent, the LPR Agriculture and Food Ministry reported.
“The autumn sowing in the LPR is fully completed; agribusinesses have met their targets at 100 percent,” the report said. “The Republic has increased the winter cereals area by 7 percent year-on-year for the first time.”
Agribusinesses met sowing targets at 108 percent in the Lutugino district, 110 percent in the Perevalsk district, 117 percent in Lugansk and certain areas of the Stanichno-Luganskiy district and 104 percent in Krasnodon and the Krasnodon district, the Ministry said.
The farmers have also gathered potatoes and cucurbit crops.
LPR farmers began autumn sowing works in late August.
