LPR facilitates evacuation of Ukrainian troop killed outside Zolotoye
LUGANSK, February 27 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The LPR mission to the JCCC and activists of the Lugansk Union of the Afghan War Veterans have facilitated the evacuation of a Ukrainian service member killed during an attempt of Ukrainian saboteur squad to infiltrate the Republic.
Earlier in the day, LPR People's Militia spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko said that Ukrainian armed forces had asked LPR Command to return the body of the troop.
"Today, February 27, in the vicinity of Novoaleksandrovka, Ukrainian public organization Evacuation-200 retrieved the body of the Ukrainian service member killed on February 26 during attempt to cross the contact line and move towards LPR positions. The operation to evacuate the body was monitored by the OSCE SMM, Lugansk Union of the Afghan War Veterans and LPR mission to the JCCC."
Ukrainian saboteur squad attempted to break through LPR defense late on Tuesday, one militant was detained. As a result of retaliatory small arms fire the enemy suffered losses and retreated promptly.
