LPR expects peak of COVID-19 infections in late April-early May
LUGANSK, April 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR Health Ministry said it expects the sharp increase in COVID-19 cases by in late April-early May, said LPR Health Minister Natalia Paschenko.
"I call on the LPR residents to be cautious, as we expect the growth in the number of cases in late April-early May," she said.
Paschenko said that LPR hospitals have enough supplies and are managing all incoming cases.
The World Health Organization called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 1.7 mln people worldwide; of those almost 106,000 died.
The number of COVID-19 cases in the LPR has mounted to 14.
