LPR engineer units demine 52 ha of territory in May
LUGANSK, May 18 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR engineer units have demined more than 52 ha of territories in May, and defused a WWII-era large caliber artillery shell, the Ministry of Emergencies press service said.
"From May 1 to May 18, LPR engineer units inspected 52.3 ha of territories. They found a WWII-era 76 mm artillery shell and a modern 122 mm artillery shell, both were safely disposed of. "
Overall, engineer units were alerted seven times in the abovementioned period.
Since the beginning of 2020, engineers discovered almost 400 explosives. In 2019, 826 UXO were disposed of.
