LPR emergency service rescues 36 people, 17 vehicles from snow drifts over 24 hours
LUGANSK, February 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Rescuers of The Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry pulled 17 vehicles carrying 36 people out of snow drifts over the past 24 hours, the Ministry’s press service reported.
“Emergencies Ministry personnel towed 17 vehicles with 36 people, including two children, out of snowbanks,” the report said.
Earlier, rescuers pulled two ambulances out of snow drifts.
The LPR Weather Service expects thick fog, a snowstorm and ice coating in the Republic.
Previously, the LPR Emergencies Ministry urged residents to cut the length of time spent outdoors as the weather worsened.
