LUGANSK, March 26 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic education institutions will switch to online teaching from March 30, LPR Education and Science Minister Sergey Tsemkalo said at a press briefing at the Government House.

“Pursuant to the LPR Head’s Decree of March 13, 2020 on high alert and the decision of the Sanitary and Anti-epidemic Commission under the LPR government, the Republic’s Ministry issued Order No 433 on organising the operation of LPR education institutions in high alert conditions. The regulations introduce distance learning at all education levels in the period from March 30 to April 12,” Tsemkalo said.

The Order applies to vocational training and higher education centres, the minister said adding that pre-school education institutions would continue to function as usual.

Distance learning implies obtaining knowledge, testing it and meeting all curricula requirements, he said.

On Thursday, local education officials met over recommendations on distance learning.

The LPR government earlier passed a resolution on the Emergency Sanitary and Anti-Epidemic Commission under the LPR government which included Education Ministry officials.
