LPR downs five Ukrainian UAVs in April-May
LUGANSK, May 17 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR People's Militia brought down five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in April and May, said LPR People's Militia press service head Yakov Osadchiy.
"The LPR People's Militia cleared skies of five Phantom type UAVs used by the enemyduring April and May; three of them were restored and added to the LPR trophies stock."
The drones were mainly used by the 30th and 54th Ukrainian brigades outside Troitskoye, Novozvanovka, Popasnaya.
Employing combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in a 30 km wide zone along the line of contact is banned under Article 7 of Minsk Memorandum, with the sole exception of OSCE SMM UAVs.
