LPR dismisses Kiev's claims of advancement towards Zhelobok
LUGANSK, June 20 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR People's Militia spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko has dismissed Kiev's claims of advancement towards Zhelobok in the Slavyanoserbsk region.
The press center of the Joint forces operation (JFO) released a statement saying that Ukrainian troops acquired new positions and advanced 2 km forward in the Zhelobok area, establishing a "provision line".
"This is a completely false report," Marochko said.
"Our servicemen are present in Zhelobok; no one made advancements or gave up their positions. This is just another fake made up by Ukrainian propaganda. It is not true."
Marocho said that he personally visited Zhelobok two days ago and saw that Kiev's troops deliberately shell the township. "The last remaining resident of Zhelobok was injured, her household and property was destroyed."
