LPR customs seize 23.8 mln-rubles-worth smuggled goods in Q1 2019
LUGANSK, April 12 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR Customs Committee has seized 23.8 mln-rubles-worth smuggled goods in the Q1 this year, said the deputy chairman of the Committee Yuriy Afanasievskiy.
"Following the established facts, goods worth 23.8 mln rubles have been seized, which is two times more y-o-y."
In the first three months of the current year mobile customs groups carried out 174 raids to uncover illegal goods transfers across the customs border.
"In the first three months of 2019, 105 cases on customs rules violations were filed, 18 cases were sent to the Leninskiy district court of Lugansk covering 10.3 mln rubles."
The court found 21 persons liable and fined them for 13.1 mln rubles, which is four times more that in the Q1 2018.
