LPR Customs confiscate goods worth 24.5 mln rubles and 35 vehicles in 1H 2018
LUGANSK, July 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR State Customs Committee has confiscated illegal goods worth 24.5 mln rubles and 35 vehicles in the first half of the 2018, said the head of the customs anti-smuggling department Dmitry Nechayev.
"In the first half of 2018, 360 raids were carried out to curb smuggler activities, 71 episodes were revealed. The total of 24.5 mln RUR worth goods have been confiscated, as well as 35 vehicles used by traffickers."
Customs offices have seized 450,000 cigarette packages worth 11.4 mln rubles; 20 tons of alcohol worth 550,000 rubles; 2,000 tons of coal worth 4 mln rubles; 3.7 mln rubles in cash; 20 tons of food worth 2 mln rubles; customer goods worth 2.3 mln rubles; industrial goods worth 250,000 rubles; 618 kg of non-ferrous scrap worth 300,000 rubles; other goods worth 42,800 rubles.
