LUGANSK, February 1 (Lugansk Media Centre) - LPR Council of Ministers chairman Sergey Kozlov ordered to prepare a plan of cooperation with DPR in a follow-up to the protocol of intent to establish common customs space between the Donbass Republics, the government press service reported.
“On 1 February, LPR Council of Ministers Sergey Kozlov met with his first deputy Oleg Chernousov and Industry and Trade Minister Dmitry Bozhic and ordered them to prepare, by the end of next week, a plan of cooperation with the Donetsk People’s Republic within the scope of the protocol of intent to establish one customs space between the Republics,” the report said.
Noting the importance of developing industrial cooperation with DPR, Kozlov asked Bozhic to draw a list of promising projects for LPR and DPR industrial companies, finalise it with the Donetsk colleagues and agree the project presentation date. “The deadline is the end of next week,” the Council of Ministers chairman said.
Chernousov was tasked with supervising the work on the road map which should include details such as timeframes and the list of joint projects. He said that a road map conference had already been held between LPR State Customs Committee, LPR State Tax and Revenue Committee, Industry and Trade Ministry, Economic Development Ministry and LPR State Bank.
The road map should be ready by Saturday and finalised with the Donetsk People’s Republic, Chernousov said.
On 31 January, acting LPR head Leonid Pasechnik and DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko signed a protocol of intent to establish the common customs space between the two Republics.
Kozlov said that the signing of the document was the first step toward establishing uniform rules in all spheres of life in the Republics.
