LUGANSK, February 28 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Ukrainian special representative for humanitarian issues Viktor Medvedchuk’s presence gave momentum to the prisoner swop discussion at today's Contact Group meeting in Minsk, said LPR representative in the Contact Group humanitarian subgroup Olga Kobtseva.
She said that the LPR representatives confirmed the Republic's readiness to exchange detainees with Ukraine, to restore Stanitsa Luganskaya bridge and to open checkpoints in Zolotoye and Schastye.
"The participation of Kiev's Medvedchuk has had positive effect on the detainees exchange discussion. The LPR confirmed it is ready to carry out the swop of all confirmed detainees, which is not true for Ukraine."
"Unfortunately all our previously sent suggestions remain unanswered."
Ukraine also kept silent on Stanitsa bridge and checkpoints issues, Kobtseva said.
