LPR calls on OSCE to intensify monitoring in Kiev's JFO zone
LUGANSK, June 22 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR People's Militia is urging the OSCE to intensify monitoring in the joint forces operation (JFO) zone, as Ukrainian weapons are still present there in violation of the Minsk Agreements, said LPR People's Militia spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko.
He said that the locals of Kapitanovo and Muratovo reported Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems being deployed to the area.
"According to our information, the command of the Ukrainian A-1129 anti-aircraft missile regiment was tasked with supporting the 53 mechanized brigade by the first anti-aircraft missile battalion, (to disrupt) the OSCE UAV-assisted monitoring," Marochko said.
"The terrorist command is afraid that the OSCE SMM shall again reveal banned weapons and make them withdraw them. The first battalion is expected to prevent detection of the arms and their usage."
Additional reports said that the 53 mechanized brigade also covers seven tanks and three self-propelled artillery sustems.
"We urge the OSCE to intensify aerial and ground monitoring to record the presence of the banned weapons in the area and to make the command withdraw them."
