LPR Anti-Epidemic Commission bans tours, trips for schoolchildren, students
LUGANSK, September 25 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Emergency Sanitary and Anti-Epidemic Commission under the Lugansk People’s Republic government has banned tourist, sightseeing, culture and entertainment trips for organised groups of children, schoolchildren and students, the government press service said.
“The Commission decided to prohibit tourist, sightseeing, culture and entertainment and other kinds of trips for organised groups of children, comprehensive and vocational schools pupils and higher education centres students,” the press service said.
The Commission also recommended district and town administration officials to reduce the number of public events.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 32 million by now; of those, over 979,000 people have died. The LPR has confirmed 906 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures. Most of restrictions have already been eased due to the improving COVID-19 situation.
