LPR air defenses down over 10 Ukrainian UAVs in 2017
LUGANSK, December 29 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR air defenses have downed over 10 Ukrainian army unmanned aerial vehicles in 2017, said LPR People’s Militia command acting chief Colonel Mikhail Filiponenko.
He said Kiev's artillery and mortars regularly targeted LPR vital infrastructure and repair teams dispatched to fix the damaged objects.
"The fire adjustment was carried out using UAVs, of which we have brought down more than 10 this year," Filiponenko said.
In December, one UAV was downed by the LPR air defenses; earlier the People's Militia downed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) over the Republic in October. A number of drones have been brought down during the summer and spring.
