LPR Air Defense downs Ukrainian reconnaissance UAV
LUGANSK, May 25 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR Air Defense has downed a Ukrainian reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle, said LPR People's Militia press service officer Ivan Filiponenko.
"Yesterday thanks to LPR Air Defense units competence, a Ukrainian Krylo-type UAV of the 39th brigade was brought down as it was on a reconnaissance mission over People's Militia positions."
The debris of the drone have been recovered by the People' Militia, the discovered footage and pictures are being examined.
In April and May alone the LPR Air Defense downed five Ukrainian drones.
Employing combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in a 30 km wide zone along the line of contact is banned under Article 7 of Minsk Memorandum, with the sole exception of OSCE SMM UAVs.
