LPR acting head: Stakhanov and Lutugino plants to ship production to other LPR and DPR enterprises
LUGANSK, March 7 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Stakhanov and Lutugino plants will ship their production to Alchevsk and DPR enterprises, the LPR acting head Leonid Pasechnik said in his interview to Russia 1 TV channel.
"We are trying to establish a network of enterprises located on our territory. For example, the Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant will ships its production to the Alchevsk Iron&Steel Works and Enakievo metallurgical plant in the DPR. The Lutugino factory of casting rolls is waiting to be restored and re-launched, and it will supply Alchevsk Iron&Steel Works and Enakievo metallurgical plant," Pasechnik said.
Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant specializes in silicon alloys manufacturing. It used to be the biggest producer of ferrosilicon in Ukraine. The plant was built in 1959. By the end of 1962 there were eight furnaces operating full time. In 2014, during the military aggression of Ukraine against Donbass, the plant sustained serious damage and seized operations. The Republican authorities designed a plan for the overhaul of the plant.
Alchevsk Iron & Steel Works is one of the oldest companies of Donbass. It is the company of integrated production cycle and it has its own in-house coke-making production facilities.
