Leonid Pasechnik awards medals to soldiers of frontline units
LUGANSK, January 5 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR acting head Leonid Pasechnik visited frontline People's Militia unit in the vicinity of Dolgoye, Slavyanoserbsk district, to award medals to soldiers today.
Pasechnik and the minister of state security Anatoly Antonov inspected the positions and living conditions, canteen, banya (sauna) and dug-outs.
The medals For Faith and Will and second-degree medals For Courage were awarded to soldiers who bravely fought the enemy attempting to break through LPR defenses in the sector of Svetlodarsk salient and 'Bakhmutka' highway connecting Lugansk and Lisichansk in 2017.
"I want to thank you personally and on behalf of LPR residents for your battlefield labor. You risk your lives daily to defend our borders. Thank you, guys," Pasechnik said.
According to LPR People's Militia spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko, acting head of the LPR paid unannounced visits to all frontline units during December 31 – January 5.
