LUGANSK, May 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Ukraine's envoys to the Minsk talks have announced during the humanitarian subgroup meeting that they are not ready to discuss the opening of new crossing points, said LPR representative in the Contact Group humanitarian subgroup Olga Kobtseva.
Newly appointed representatives of Ukraine took part in the meeting: an MP Galina Tretyakova and deputy chairman of the delegation, an MP Alexander Merezhko.
"The issue of the crossing points was on the agenda today," Kobtseva said.
"Tretyakova suggested to remove it from the agenda saying the Ukrainian delegation was not ready to discuss it.
"Ukraine not just derailed the discussion, but publicly admitted they are not ready to talk about it."
Currently there is only one official checkpoint at the line of contact in LPR area of responsibility in Donbass and it is accessible via the bridge in vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya. Only pedestrian traffic here is possible as the repaired bridge's width does not permit vehicle passage.
The bridge repair accord was reached after the disengagement of forces in Stanitsa Luganskaya in late June 2019.
