Kiev rep urges foreign trade unions to picket Ukraine embassies in their countries

Ukraine representative speaking today at a congress of World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) in Durban, South Africa, showed photos taken during dramatic events in Odessa and Lugansk in 2014 and urged all the WFTU members to picket Ukraine embassies in their countries.

LPR envoy to the congress, member of LPR Federation of Trade Unions (FTU) presidium Andrey Kochetov told Lugansk Media Center that the 2nd day of the congress was set for the speeches of local trade union organizations' representatives.

 Over 30 speakers turned up representing a significant number of countries. Ukrainian rep delivered one of the most emotional speeches.

"From the rostrum he showed documentary photos of Ukraniain regime atrocities committed in Odessa on May 2nd, and showing dramatic events taking place in Lugansk in 2014-2015. He urged all the trade unions of WFTU to picket Ukraine embassies in their countries protesting against genocide," Kochetov said.

LPR reps take part in WFTU 17th congress, that is to close on October 8th. The federation members plan to estimate the work already done and reelect their leaders and work out future plans.

LPR FTU was established on June 27th 2014, it was granted WFTU membership in June next year as a full-scale member. The WFTU presidential council approved the membership request from LPR at a meeting in Geneve on July 6-7th 2015.
