Kiev impedes POW exchange process, no progress in humanitarian group, Kobtseva says
LUGANSK, August 19 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Ukrainian side does not fulfil agreements on POW exchange preparation, stalling the work of the humanitarian subgroup, Olga Kobtseva, the representative of the Republic in the humanitarian subgroup, head of the LPR working group on the exchange of POW, said.
"No result was achieved unfortunately on the issue on search for missing persons and associated issues, legal clearance in particular," she said.
"What we see is manipulating certain obligations".
She said that Ukraine blamed LPR for nor letting the ICRC members visit detainees in the Republic. Though when asked when Ukraine let the mission visit prisoners, Ukrainian representative failed to reply.
"No progress was achieved in the humanitarian subgroup on either of the issues," she concluded.
