Kiev has not assented to Stanitsa Luganskaya bridge reconstruction
LUGANSK, June 21 (Lugansk Media Center) – Ukraine has not assent to start reconstructing the bridge in Stanitsa Luganskaya area, said LPR envoy to Minsk negotiations Vladislav Deinego.
"We have not received Ukraine's consent confirmation to reconstruct the bridge which has been partly destroyed by explosion. We have long been waiting to begin works supported by the ICRC," he said.
Earlier Deinego said that LPR is ready to reconstruct Stanitsa Luganskaya bridge, but is waiting for Kiev's 'good will'.
Currently there is only one official checkpoint at the line of contact in LPR area of responsibility in Donbass and it is accessible via the bridge in vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya. Only pedestrian traffic here is possible thanks to a temporary conduit over the damaged parts of the bridge that was blown up by Ukrainian forces. LPR has been continuously proposing to rebuild it.
