Kiev forces bring down SMM's UAV outside Schastye
LUGANSK, March 31 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Ukrainian service members shelled an SMM unmanned aerial vehicle outside Schastye, the LPR People's Militia said.
"The fighters of the Ukrainian 80th brigade under command of a war criminal Vladimir Shvorak shelled the mission's UAV moving in the vicfinity of Schastye – Vesyelaya Gora in order to prevent it from revealing equipment deployed to Schastye and located in the Shevchenko street. They were also motivated by the bonus for downing UAVs," the report reads.
The UAV was brought down "as a result of fire".
The LPR People's Militia has launched a search operation to assist the international mission in recovering the debris.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. Conflict settlement relies on the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, signed on February 12, 2015 in the Belarussian capital by the Contact Group members and coordinated by the Normandy Four heads of states (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine). The UN Security Council approved the document by Resolution No 2202 of February 17, 2015 and called upon the parties to ensure its implementation.
