LUGANSK, February 19 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Kiev forces are using electronic warfare equipment to supress the operation of OSCE Special Monitoring Mission unmanned aerial vehicles in order to conceal the deployment on the contact line of forces and hardware banned by the Minsk Agreements, Lugansk People’s Republic People’s Militia spokesman Andrey Marochko said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.

“Ukrainian forces continue to build up their forces and hardware close to the contact line. The Ukrainian army has amassed armoured vehicles and artillery in the Krymskoye settlement area,” Marochko said. “All the hardware is camouflaged. Kiev conceals these weapons from OSCE drones using electronic warefare methods.”

Kiev’s electronic countermeasures put OSCE drones on monitoring missions out of operation, he said.

“Yesterday, a long-range OSCE UAV Camcopter S-100 went out of control on a scheduled mission and fell due to Ukrainian radio supression,” Marochko sad.

Drone fragmeents are expected to be passed by OSCE SMM representatives on Tuesday, he said.

“We’re ready to help investigate the drone crash,” Marochko added.

Earlier, the spokesman said that the LPR militia had found a missing OSCE SMM UAV and that it had repeatedly helped to look for drones lost by the OSCE in the LPR.
