Internal Ministry prevented 140 thousand RUR bribery and 136 mln RUR property theft in 2016
LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2016 facilitated the return of 136-mln-RUR-worth goods back to state property, the ministry said.
In 11 months of 2016 20 criminal cases were filed over corruption charges, eight of them concerning bribery, six – embezzlement, two – fraud.
Criminal action was also taken over gross abuse of power; knowingly misleading expert reports, state property theft, and forgery.
"Overall 138.95 thousand RUR and three thousand US dollars bribery was prevented," the report says.
"The property of worth 136 mln RUR in total was brought back under state ownership."
