IN PICTURES: Pasechnik awards outstanding LPR servicemen on the eve of the Victory Day

LUGANSK, May 7 (Lugansk Media Centre) - LPR acting head Leonid Pasechnik has awarded outstanding LPR servicemen at the Lugansk central square today, on the eve of the annual Victory Day parade.

Earlier he attended the dress rehearsal for the Victory Day military parade in Lugansk.

"On May 5 I signed decrees on awards to LPR servicemen. Obviously, it is a difficult time for all of us, but it is exceptionally hard for young guys who risk their health and lives to protect the boundaries of our young Republic."

"They are decent descendants of our grandfathers, I believe in our victory and success," Pasechnik said.

The legendary World War II T-34 tank damaged in a Ukrainian strike in April has been repaired to lead the V-Day parade in Lugansk on May 9.

In 2017, a military parade marking the 72nd anniversary of Victory Day included 1,200 LPR personnel and a hundred of military equipment pieces.
