Health authorities: Nearly 20 thousand Lugansk residents get flu shots
LUGANSK, December 3 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Over 19.5 thousand Lugansk residents got free flu shots within the framework of the vaccination second stage in the LPR capital, said Lugansk acting chief sanitary officer Spartak Gavrik.
"As of today, 19,600 Lugansk residents have received flu shots. The second stage of the immunization is ongoing on the basis of 11 medical centers, we have over 7,000 doses available."
Gavrik said that the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) epidemics is goint to reach its climax in late January-early February.
The 82nd Russian humanitarian aid convoy delivered influenza vaccines, medications and medical equipment to the Lugansk People’s Republic on October 25.
As of October 15, nearly 10 thousand Lugansk residents got flu shots.
