Hackers organise DDoS attack from Ukraine at LPR govt bodies websites - Ministry
LUGANSK, January 21 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Hackers from Ukraine organised a massive DDoS attack at Lugansk People’s Republic government bodies’ websites, the LPR Telecom and Mass Communications Ministry reported.
“On January 21, executive bodies websites came under a massive DDos attack launched from the Ukrainian territory,” the report said.
Specialists are currently restoring the websites; short-time failures in website operation are possible until the threat is eliminated, the Ministry said.
A distributed denial-of-service attack, or DDoS attack, is an attempt to overwhelm a website or online service with traffic from multiple sources in order to render it unavailable to users.
