German business interested in relations with Donbass - AfD member
LUGANSK, October 14 (Lugansk Media Centre) – German business is interested in the development of economic cooperation with Russia and Donbass, said Gunnar Lindemann, member of Berlin's regional parliament from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
He said that the AfD calls for the lift of sanctions against Russia.
"The sanctions imposed on Russia have a negative effect not only on Russian economy but our economy and the EU's as well. Our party stands for restoration of relations with Russia and for their development. The sanctions affect German business."
Lindemann said that German companies are interested in Donbass industrial opportunities, despite the ongoing armed conflict.
He also described the Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky as "a politician who has a chance to settle the conflict peacefully. The signing of the Steinmeier formula opens way for a wide Donbass autonomy."
