Four Ukrainian servicemen killed in ammo unloading accident - LPR militia
LUGANSK, December 5 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Four Ukrainian army servicemen have been killed and two others have been wounded due to non-compliance with safety rules when unloading ammunition, Lugansk People’s Republic People’s Militia press service officer Ivan Filiponenko said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.
Using the shaky truce, Kiev forces continue to build up forces and hardware on the contact line, Filiponenko said.
“Two BTR-70 armoured personnel carriers and a Ural truck with ammunition arrived at the Ukrainian army 72nd Brigade positions in the Novozvanovka area. During the unloading, a pallet detonated due to non-compliance with safety rules, leaving four Ukrainian servicemen dead and another two seriously wounded; the Ural truck is beyond repair,” the officer said.
Earlier, LPR militia spokesman Yakov Osadchiy said that the operation-tactical group “North” had lost more than 10,200 personnel and over 1,600 pieces of hardware since the beginning of Kiev’s armed aggression against the Donbass people.
The LPR People's Militia repeatedly noted Kiev forces' worsening morale with continuing looting and drunken rows between themselves. There were more cases of bullying which provoked desertion and suicides among Ukrainian army servicemen.
