Distant learning introduced in ten Lugansk schools until Oct 10
LUGANSK, September 28 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Ten of the Lugansk schools are shifting to home schooling, the city administration said.
"The city commission on technological and ecological safety and on emergencies has decided to transfer ten schools to distant learning starting September 29 until October 10 due to the growing number of AVR cases among pupils and teachers."
The commission also order to tighten control over wearing masks in public transport and public places.
The World Health Organization called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 32.9 million; of those, over 995,000 have died. The LPR has confirmed 938 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures. As present, most of restrictions have been eased due to the improving COVID-19 situation.
