Detained Ukrainian saboteur tells of LPR military and police officer murders
Detained Ukrainian saboteur Vasiliy Sapronov told LPR Ministry of State Security (MGB) about the murders of an LPR People's Militia commander Baggi and an Interior Ministry officer.
The MGB head Leonid Pasechnik said that the saboteur had been arrested in Lugansk along with his accomplices suspected of the murders and preparing terror attacks in LPR.
The commander of the LPR 13th territorial defense battalion Armen Bagiryan call-sign Baggi was murdered by Ukrainian saboteurs who fired at his car in Slavyanoserbsk district between Rodakovo and Zheltoye villages on October 2, 2016.
"In the Autumn 2016 I got acquainted with the head of intelligence department of the 8th regiment of Ukrainian army special operations forces Pasha Balov. I complained of financial problems, not knowing that he was an intelligence officer with call-sign Diler. In September 2016 he proposed a good and seemingly easy job," Sapronov told investigators.
Balov tasked him finding people who "love Ukraine and who patriots".
After the squad had been formed they received a task to kidnap Baggi; Ukrainian command wanted to pass off him as a Russian officer.
Later the saboteurs killed Baggi and several other people who were with the LPR commander. Balov paid them only half of the promised sum, and following the conflict between the two men, Balov ordered members of Sapronov's squad to kill their leader.
Sapronov had to keep a low profile.
Another officer of Ukrainain army special operations forces hired Sapronov putting a hit on LPR Interior Ministry officer. Sapronov killed the officer and his wife.
